B I O G R A P H Y
Robert Buratti is a contemporary artist and researcher based in Boorloo/Perth, Western Australia, whose practice explores esoteric symbolism, sacred geometry, and mystical traditions across painting, installation, and documentary film.

His work has been exhibited at New York University, WA Museum Boola Bardip, S.H. Ervin Gallery, Devonport Regional Gallery, and Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery, and recognised in major prizes including the Doug Moran Portrait Prize, Lester Portrait Prize, Brisbane Art Prize, and Cossack Art Awards. His works are held in the State Library of Western Australia and private collections throughout the USA, UK, and Australia.

Buratti's artistic practice is informed by scholarly research on visionary artists and occult philosophy, including published works on William Blake and Aleister Crowley. His creative collaborations span diverse fields, from NASA's Osiris-Rex mission exploring cosmic mythology, to partnerships with The Tea Party and Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

As a curator, Buratti pioneered exhibitions exploring art's spiritual dimensions, including "Windows to the Sacred" (2012), a touring showcase of 120 esoteric artworks across Australia and the USA. He has collaborated with the National Gallery of Australia, Art Gallery of Western Australia, National Trust of Australia, and consulted to the Venice Biennale.

His contributions to the arts have been supported by Creative Australia's inaugural Proto X Arts Grant, the Gordon Darling Foundation Curatorial Grant, University of Western Australia Research Grant, and Sydney University Incubate Arts Grant.
Buratti serves as Editor of Art Collector, Australia's leading contemporary art magazine, and his arts commentary has appeared in The Australian, Raw Vision New York, Australian Art Review, ABC Television and Radio.
